Island Junk Solutions Wins 2019 BBB Torch Award<\/strong><\/p>\n

Victoria, BC \u2014 Island Junk Solutions is humbled and honoured be one of 12 local Vancouver Island companies to\u00a0be awarded with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) 2019 Torch Award for Ethics. According to the Better Business\u00a0Bureau (BBB*) serving Vancouver Island <\/a>the Torch Awards for Ethics, recognizes exemplary businesses that\u00a0strive to go above and beyond in their dealings with customers, employees, vendors and their community<\/em><\/p>\n

The Torch Awards recognize businesses that have made an exemplary commitment to honest and ethical\u00a0business practices and consumer service excellence.
\nHundreds of Vancouver Island\u00a0businesses are nominated for this prestigious award by their customers every year.\u00a0Judges are asked to identify one winner from the group of nominees and approximately 3 to 5 finalists. In\u00a0categories where only three to five individual businesses have been nominated, all business are considered\u00a0nominees unless the judges strongly feel that one business should be excluded.\u00a0Nominees are judged on their reliability, honesty, service, fairness, and respect using the following criteria:<\/p>\n

  1. High ethical standards of behaviour towards customers, suppliers, employees, and communities in which\u00a0they do business.<\/li>\n
  2. Demonstrated ethical practices surrounding their buyer\/seller relationship.<\/li>\n
  3. Marketing, advertising, communications, and sales practices which reflect a true representation of what is\u00a0being offered in the marketplace.<\/li>\n
  4. Acknowledgment of ethical marketplace standards by industry peers and in communities where they do\u00a0business.<\/li>\n
  5. Ethics policies that are effectively communicated to employees.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
