Local Recycling Rules
In the Capital Regional District (CRD) and the Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN), scrap metal is not accepted in curbside collection. It must be dropped off at a depot or transfer station. Appliances containing refrigerants, like fridges, freezers, and AC units, require licensed removal of coolant before recycling — something we arrange for you as part of the job.
